What is PTE Academic?

The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is an international computer based English Language test designed to assess the readiness of non-native English speakers to participate in a university-level English language instruction program. PTE Academic is accepted by universities in USA, UK, Australia, Finland, Singapore, and many more.

PTE Academic Structure

The test is administered in a single 3 hours test session. The test is divided into 3 timed sections, 1 short un-timed introduction and an optional 10 minute break.

Test Scores

Test Scores are available online usually within 5 business days from taking the test. Test taker can report scores to any number of institutions for free. Selected institutions can retrieve scores online usually within 24 hours.

What score do I need?

Check the score you need with the university you are applying to. Most UK universities require a minimum score of 51 for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and a minimum score of 36 for qualifications below degree level. You can find more details on.

How will the university check my score?

Results are issued to candidates securely online through your Pearson account. We do not issue paper certificates to students or institutions. Once you receive your scores you can send them online to as many institutions as you want, free of charge.

Do I need to provide my score report if I am applying for the UK student visa?
